Notification
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent via e-mail to the corresponding author by the end of June 2005. Publication
Accepted abstracts will be published in the abstract book of the conference. The abstract titles and an updated program will be available on this conference website as of 1 July 2005.
Manuscripts presented at the 10th International Facial Nerve Symposium can be submitted to the Journal Otology & Neurotology. Guidelines for authors are found on the website http://otology-neurotology.com

Presentations
Abstracts will be considered for an oral or poster presentation by the Scientific Committee. Oral presenters should be prepared to speak for 10 minutes, after which 5 minutes discussion.
All presentations must be given in English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

SIR CHARLES BELL POSTER AWARD
The 10th International Facial Nerve Symposium is being organized in collaboration with the Sir Charles Bell Society (President Rainer Laskawi, Germany).

The Sir Charles Bell Society will award a prize of €1,000 for the best poster presentation. The winner will be announced at the end of the conference. All first-time authors under the age of 40 are eligible to participate in the competition. A special committee will be responsible for the selection process. Authors who wish to be considered should indicate interest on the Abstract Submission Form.

President emeritus of the Sir Charles Bell Society, Dr. Kedar Adour from the United States will be a guest of honor at the symposium.

Audiovisual equipment
All speakers are requested to prepare a PowerPoint presentation. Please be sure to email your presentation by FRIDAY, 26 AUGUST to Joan Gorissen, jgorissen@conferenceagency.com. Presenters will not be able to use their own laptops or project conventional slides. There will be no opportunity to edit presentations on-site.

CME – Accreditation
The Netherlands Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery has granted accreditation (15 points) to the scientific program of the 10th International Facial Nerve Symposium. Participants who are interested in obtaining these credits will be required to fill out a special rating form, available at the Symposium. The certificate of attendance can be used by participants in Europe and North America to apply for accreditation via their national institutions.
